Position: Tutor Internship

Part-Time Position

Location: Mountain House, CA

This position requires a Tutor Intern to work 2 to 3 days per week, Monday-Friday, within the 3:00p.m.-7:00p.m. timeframe. This internship may help candidates enrolled in a teaching credential program, earn hours. This internship may help candidates enrolled in a College/University obtain volunteer hours.

KAM Learning Center is the community centric provider of tutoring and supplemental education services to children of all ages, grades, and skill levels. We work directly with teachers, parents, and students to create a tailored educational plan for our students.

The Tutor Intern is the foundation of KAM Learning Center. Tutor Interns for KAM Learning Center must uphold the highest standards of excellence in Customer Service.

Tutor Intern duties include the following:

  • Meet with students one-one-one, or in small group formats to provide learning assistance in a specific subject area
  • Utilize various learning prompts for improved student reception
  • Demonstrate proficient problem solving and analytical abilities
  • Clarify learning challenges with students and develop a plan to help students overcome these challenges
  • Have the ability to adjust lesson plans as needed
  • Assist students in improving academic achievement
  • Communicate with students, parents and teachers about subject knowledge progress

Job Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled at an Accredited College or University working towards an Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Master’s Degree
  • Must have a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a citizen of the United States
